Hi Jude,
Thanks for your deep articulations on how to move Nigeria forward. While I do agree with you that there is need to press law makers to review our consititution and provide five year term cum rotational presidendcy and so on, I do disagree with you on the opinion that Nigerians abroad should go home. Going home will not solve the problem. Many have gone home, contested and won elections only to go their and betray the trust of the poor electorates and all of us abroad. Chimaroke, for example, was a US-based medical practitioner. What has he done as a governor in Enugu state that distinguished him from others? His policies and manner of approach to issues are even more barbaric than those of his counter parts.
What makes a shrew to smell is in its bone marrow and so washing a shrew can never stop it from smelling. Nigerian problem is a complicated issue and in my own opinion there are only two ways out: MIRACLE OR REVOLUTION to flush out all these corrupt politicians and turn on a new leaf. Nigerian political system is simply a mess and I don't think any sane human being would like to abandon his stay abroad to involve himself in such a mess. He might even be killed before he or she has the opportunity to declare his intention to his family not to talk of the political political party.
